Anna teaching Bones For Life in Cats Pajamas Studio

Here at Cats Pajamas, my beautiful, light-filled lakeview studio, I teach innovative movement programs, surrounded by the wild nature of Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada.

In 1994, my dream of having my very own studio was realized. Since I love having cats in my life, it made purrfect sense to name my studio after my favourite felines*. Especially after hearing that the term "cats pajamas" was made popular in the 1920’s, one of my favourite eras.

"Cats pajamas" comes from E.B. Katz, an English tailor of the late 1700's and early 1800's, who made the finest silk pajamas for royalty and other wealthy patrons. Since then, something that is outstanding is considered to be the "cats pajamas," nothing like a cat nap in Katz' Pajamas. (from the book, "Cats out of the Bag" compiled by Terry, Don and Ken Beck)

*For those that do not share my passion for cats or who are allergic to them, please do not be concerned, my cats do not come into the studio. They have "left the building".
