Anna Haltrecht
As a movement educator with over 50 years of experience, I teach innovative movement programs through Online Videoconferencing and in my studio on Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada.
I inspire and motivate people to live their lives fully by finding their true, authentic expression.
Since 1983, I have been studying and practicing the art of mindful movement, which is moving without placing undue stress on the body. After many years of sustaining numerous injuries as a young dancer, I decided there must be a way to dance and live without so much pain. I decided to take my Feldenkrais Method® practitioner training after exploring numerous movement modalities, graduating in 1986. Discovering how to move with elegance, lightness and ease takes study. In 2000, I began my training with Ruthy Alon, Senior Feldenkrais Trainer and creator of the Movement Intelligence Program and now I am a Movement Intelligence Senior Trainer teaching Bones for Life®, Chairs, Walk for Life, Mindful Eating and Solutions for Optimal Mobility.
I provide Movement Intelligence teacher training programs through live online videoconferencing. I conduct individual live Feldenkrais sessions both online and in my studio, in addition to offering Pilates reformer sessions at my studio. Since 1994, I have been teaching a weekly Feldenkrais class on Fridays in my studio, which is now available as a hybrid class, combining both online and in-person participation. Additionally, I have recordings of Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement and Bones for Life available.
