Pilates is a body conditioning system that builds flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance. Emphasis is on spinal and pelvic alignment, and breathing, to stabilize your core while mobilizing your spine and joints. Coordination and balance are also improved. Intensity can be increased over time as your body conditions and adapts to the exercises. No muscle group is under or over trained. Pilates creates whole body ease and flexibility while strengthening your core and connectivity.

I teach theMethod Pilates, and am certified by the PhysicalMind Institute of Canada. I offer one class on Wednesdays 11:00 - 12:00 pm as well as private work by appointment on the Pilates Reformer. 

My classes are safe and suitable for anyone recovering from surgery, injury or illness as the movements are supportive, giving the body time to recover and build strength. Exercises will focus on the subtleties of core strength and body alignment. As well as matwork, Standing Pilates® will be taught. Everyoen works at their own level. I suggest options for both those new to Pilates and needing to take their time to learn the movements, and those experienced with Pilates and needing extra challenges.
